I chose the Shop Storage Cabinet plans. I was asked again to click on the cabinet link and was then presented with the plans in PDF format, which I saved to my computer. The plans include instructions on building the base, doors, drawer and cabinet. There were also two supply lists in the file. A person can learn something from reading this file, even if he doesn’t build the shop cabinet.
Free Plans #5 – Ana White
There are many plans on the Ana-White.com website and they are easy to get to. You are not required to enter your name or email address.
It appears that this website may have the best woodworking plans for beginners’ projects.
There are 16 plans to choose from on the first page and there are 26 pages of plans. Most are printable woodworking plans. You would have to work hard not to find something that you could create in your wood shop.
I examined one project that looked like fun – the Clubhouse Bed. The page has variations of what the finished project might look like. This bed is built inside a child’s bedroom and creates additional living space. This would be a perfect project if the room is just a bit to small for the child.
The web page includes a list of materials, general instructions, cutting instructions, step by step instructions, 3-D mockup view, top view, photographs as well as drawings.
At the bottom of the instructions and before the comment section, there are links for getting the free plans. I chose the ‘”PDF version” link (not the Printer-Friendly Version). Once the PDF was downloaded to my computer, I was able to print the plans from there.
It seems that some of the plans require you to enter an email address, but other plans, such as the Clubhouse Bed, do not.
